About Supplies

We bring all standard care materials to each visit — including dressings, syringes, saline, gloves, and irrigation supplies. Please note that the catheter or tube itself is not provided by WOXY; you will need to have it on hand before the appointment. If you are unsure what to prepare, please contact us and we will guide you.

Home-based catheter care has been shown to reduce hospital-acquired infection risk and improve patient comfort compared to outpatient clinic visits.

Consistent registered nurse oversight of tube sites and feeding routines significantly lowers the incidence of complications and unplanned hospital admissions.

Who We Support

Patients and Families Who Benefit from Home Tube Care

Our tube care service is designed for patients who rely on NG, PEG, or Foley tubes at home and need consistent, skilled nursing support to stay safe and avoid unnecessary clinic visits.

Post-Discharge Tube Patients

Patients discharged from hospital with an NG, PEG, or Foley tube in place. We coordinate care from the first day home, managing tube function, site health, and caregiver readiness.

Elderly or Mobility-Limited Patients

For those who cannot easily travel to a clinic for routine tube changes or site care, home visits eliminate the stress and risk of unnecessary transport.

Neurological or Stroke Patients

Patients with ALS, stroke, Parkinson's, or other neurological conditions often require long-term tube feeding. We provide consistent, skilled support across the full duration of care.

Patients with Dysphagia

When swallowing safely is no longer possible, tube feeding becomes essential. Our nurses manage every aspect of the feeding routine with clinical precision and patient dignity.

Family Caregivers Managing Tubes

When family members become the primary tube carers, confidence matters. We train, guide, and support caregivers so they feel equipped between professional visits.

Long-Term Tube-Dependent Patients

For clients who rely on tubes indefinitely, regular professional oversight prevents complications, maintains tube function, and keeps both patient and family fully supported.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our home Tube Care service.

We manage nasogastric (NG) tubes, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tubes, and urinary (Foley) catheters. All tube care is performed by registered nurses trained in each specific procedure.

We bring all necessary care materials to every visit at no extra charge — including dressings, syringes, saline, gloves, and cleaning supplies. The catheter or tube itself is not provided by WOXY. Please ensure the correct catheter or tube is available at home before your appointment. If you are unsure what to source, our team is happy to advise you in advance.

Visit frequency depends on your care plan and physician instructions. Foley catheters are typically changed every 4–6 weeks. PEG and NG tube site care and flushing may be needed daily, weekly, or as directed by your medical team. We will work with your schedule and care requirements.

Yes. Routine Foley catheter changes are one of our most requested services. We perform changes safely at home, which eliminates the need for a hospital or clinic visit and is often much more comfortable for clients — especially elderly or mobility-limited individuals.

Our nurses are trained to assess and manage minor tube complications during visits. For a blocked or displaced tube outside of a scheduled visit, please contact us for urgent guidance. We will advise whether an urgent visit is appropriate or whether you should seek emergency care.

Yes. Caregiver guidance is a core part of our tube care service. We provide hands-on training for family members on tube flushing, feeding routines, site observation, and warning signs to watch for between visits.

Absolutely. Tube care at home is ideal for clients transitioning from hospital to home following surgery, illness, or a procedure requiring tube placement. We coordinate with discharge planners and can begin service within 24–48 hours of your return home.

We currently serve the Greater Toronto Area, including Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, and Oakville. Enter your postal code during booking to confirm availability.

Home tube care services are not covered by OHIP. We provide itemised receipts suitable for Health Spending Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) claims. Please verify eligibility with your insurer.

Book a visit through our online booking form or contact us directly. We will confirm your tube type, care needs, and schedule a nurse to visit at a time that works for you.
