Everything you need to know about Initial Health Assessment
Your assessment includes a comprehensive health review with a registered nurse, InBody 570 body composition scan, blood pressure monitoring, grip strength test, and functional health screening. The entire session takes 45-60 minutes.
For the most accurate body composition results, we recommend fasting for 2-3 hours before your appointment, avoiding intense exercise for 12 hours prior, and staying well-hydrated. Wear comfortable clothing.
You'll receive immediate verbal feedback during your appointment. A detailed digital report with all your results, trends, and personalized recommendations will be sent within 48 hours.
Initial Health Assessments are not covered by OHIP or private insurance. However, we provide detailed receipts that you can submit to your Health Spending Account (HSA) if applicable.
Yes! We offer both in-clinic and home visit options. Home visits include all the same equipment and testing—our nurse brings everything needed to your location.
We recommend follow-up assessments every 3-6 months to track progress and adjust your health plan. The frequency depends on your health goals and any conditions you're managing.
This assessment complements your regular medical care by providing more time, detailed body composition analysis, and functional health metrics not typically included in standard checkups. We work alongside your doctor, not instead of them.
All assessments are conducted by registered nurses with years of clinical experience. Our nurses are fully licensed, insured, and trained in health assessment and body composition analysis.
Absolutely. Your digital health report is designed to be easily shared with your healthcare team. Many clients bring their results to doctor appointments for more informed discussions.
