The assessment includes an InBody 570 full-body composition scan, instant metabolic screening (HbA1c and cholesterol via finger-prick blood test), spirometry lung function test, complete vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen saturation), and a thirty to forty minute structured clinical evaluation by a registered nurse. All tests are completed in a single visit.

No referral is required to book. This service is designed to support patients who have been advised by their family doctor to obtain a detailed baseline evaluation, as well as individuals who wish to establish a comprehensive health baseline for personal or clinical purposes. Your report can be shared with any physician.

The complete assessment takes approximately sixty to seventy-five minutes. This includes all physical tests, the registered nurse evaluation, and time to review your preliminary results. You will receive your digital report before leaving.

Point-of-care tests including HbA1c, cholesterol, body composition, lung function, and vital signs produce immediate results. Your comprehensive digital report, including the Visit Summary for your family doctor, is available before you leave the clinic. Hard copies can be provided on request.

Fasting is not required. The metabolic screening uses a finger-prick capillary blood sample that does not require fasting. We recommend maintaining normal hydration and avoiding strenuous exercise for two hours prior to your appointment.

Yes. The report includes a Visit Summary specifically formatted for physician review. It can be shared via email, printed for physical handoff, or uploaded to your patient portal. The structured format is designed for immediate integration into your medical record.

All assessments are conducted by registered nurses (RN or RPN) licensed in Ontario. They are trained in point-of-care testing protocols, clinical assessment, and documentation standards appropriate for medical referral.

The Visit Summary is a structured clinical document synthesising all assessment findings, identified risk factors, nurse observations, and recommendations into a single page formatted for your family doctor. It follows clinical documentation conventions to support efficient physician review and care planning.

The OHIP annual physical exam covers a standardised set of assessments determined by your family physician, typically including basic blood work and a general physical review. It requires booking through your GP and may involve weeks of waiting. Our assessment is self-referred, typically available within days, and includes point-of-care tests not routinely covered under OHIP, such as body composition analysis, lung function testing, and metabolic screening with immediate results. The two services are complementary, and our report can be shared directly with your family doctor.
